Built in 1830 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the water-powered Old Mill lies along the Little Pigeon River and is one of the most photographed mills in the United States. Still operational, the Old Mill grinds thousands of pounds of grain daily such as wheat, rye, corn, buckwheat and flour. The premises include the award-winning Old Mill Restaurant, which serves delicious Southern-style cuisine, as well as a general store and various gift shops in Old Mill Square.
