BOATING
Nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains just 15 minutes Northeast of Sevierville, 30,400-acre Douglas Lake offers the perfect opportunity for boating.
CAMPING
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park provides numerous popular campgrounds such as Cades Cove and Elkmont, as well as approximately 100 backcountry campsites.
FISHING
Fishing is permitted year round (license required) in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which boasts approximately 700 miles of rivers and streams.
GOLFING
Combine the abundance of championship golf courses throughout the Smoky Mountains with the area's beautiful scenery and you have the ingredients for an ideal golf getaway.
HIKING
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park offers more than 850 miles of hiking trails, ranging from easy to strenuous, and a 70-mile portion of the Appalachian Trail also runs through the park.

SKIING
Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Cataloochee Ski Area in Maggie Valley, North Caroina, both feature excellent opportunities for downhill snow skiing and snowboarding.
WHITEWATER RAFTING
Some of the most beautiful and challenging whitewater rapids can be found within a short drive of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
